Managing Users And Groups with EasySite™ v6
Managing Users And Groups
EasySite™ enables website content to be created by an unlimited number of authors - allowing organisations to assign specific parts of the site to relevant people or departments.
Administrators have the ability to create, edit and delete Users. They can also maintain overall control by assigning Users or Groups of Users with specific privileges, for example read, author and moderate.
LDAP Integration
EasySite™ integrates with Active Directory (Windows 2000 or 2003) over LDAP, pulling in Active Directory Groups and Users so that logging into your local network automatically authenticates you for EasySite™ - with appropriate group permissions assigned.
Site Broadcast
This feature allows users to send messages to other users across the system. Messages can be sent to group members, users with certain privileges or both.
Messaging Centre
Enables the User to manage messages within EasySite™. The solution automatically generates messages via the message centre, for example, when a page expires.
Public Users
Administrators can add and edit login details of publicly registered users and see how many times they have logged on in a given period. Public Users are those who have registered as a User on either the mailing list or personal portal module.
Single Sign On
Using a single Username and Password, Public Users can logon to the system and be automatically logged onto the other areas in which they have the privilege to access.
Password Reminders
If Users forget their password, they can request a new one which will be sent via email.
