The Natural World Centre
The Natural World Centre located in Lincolnshire, attracts 1000's of visitors a year, offering nature related exhibitions and the Whisby Nature Park.
The Requirement
The Natural World Centre wanted to develop a website that provided visitors with information regarding general information about the centre and it's attractions.
The website needed to be easy to create and update as non technical Users needed to author the site.
The Solution
After a formal tender process the Natural World Centre chose EasySite Content Management System to develop their first website.
EasySite CMS was chosen because, it enables employees without any previous technical knowledge to manage the content of the website, ensuring all information is up to date.
The Result
The website enables the centre to provide visitors with information regarding:
- Whisby Nature Park
- Changing World Centre
- Up and coming events and exhibitions
- Latest news articles
- Contact Information
The website also includes links to other useful sites and a Multiple Choice Quiz for visitors to take part in.
The Natural World Centre also invested in additional functionality modules, which include:
- Events Calendar, a searchable database of events
- Mailing List, enabliing administrators to send an email to all registered users with new information on services.
- Link Manager, a categorised database of links to other websites with descriptions and logo's
The site also has searching capabilities, making specific pieces of information, or areas of interest easy to locate.
